Cosmological phase transitions in composite Higgs models

A bstract We investigate cosmological phase transitions in various composite Higgs models consisting of four-dimensional asymptotically-free gauge field theories. Each model may lead to a confinement-deconfinement transition and associated with the spontaneous breaking global symmetry that realizes Standard Model as pseudo-Nambu-Goldstone boson. Based on argument universality, we discuss order by studying renormalization group flow corresponding linear sigma at finite temperature, which is calculated utilizing ϵ -expansion technique one-loop order. Our analysis indicates some accommodate phenomenologically interesting first-order transitions. also explore UV-completed based Sp(2 N c ) theory. It found favored when number degrees freedom for much larger than matter fields fundamental representation ). comment gravitational wave signal generated its detectability future observations. discussions motivate further studies use lattice simulations.
